In the year 1992, it became clear that an intervention had to be found in order to better serve the underserved girls and young mothers hence the formation of Teenage Mothers and Girls Development Group popularly known as TEMAK as a community based organization.

The following areas of intervention therefore emerged from the focus group discussions and interactions with the girls and young mothers:

1. Vocational skill training
2. Reproductive health and Medical services
3. Social support and care
4. Education
5. Spiritual and Psychosocial support
6. Business education
7. Economic empowerment
8. Skills Upgrade and development

Sponsorship offer for girls and young mothers between age 17 to 29 for 6 months training in:

• Hairdressing and Beauty
• Fashion and Design
• Art and Craft
• Food and Beverage (catering)

Successful candidates will be on a cost sharing basis.

They pay only 5,000/= for our full 6 month course.

For those who need boarding facilities, a full board (accommodation and food) fee of 3,500/= per month is applicable.
